A Performer!

Yesterday we had a stage performer come and tell us all about the plays that she has been in.  She was wonderful and shared tips from stage make to memorizing a script.  She also shared with us that there really are no small parts in theater.  Here are some photos of some of the kids trying on the Fiona pieces that our presenter used when she was in Shrek the musical.

Our presenter, Shannon, is currently in the production of Into the Woods.
Here are the details for that performance:

We also told the kids that we would look up the info for another fun play coming our way, which is Percy Jackson the Musical.  Here is the info for that:

Tell Us A Story

Today teacher Isabelle shared with the class more about the art of storytelling.  We also played a few games that helped the students to better practice their storytelling skills.  Next week we have a special guest who is a singer and and actress to tell us more about working on a stage.

TALENT SHOW

Hello, stage performers!
I am really looking forward to our Talent Show performances on the stage tomorrow during lunch!   Wanted to remind you to consider any "costumes" or props/music that you may need and be sure to bring them with you to Co-Op so you can feel confident as you perform.

Upcoming Talent Performances

Today we debriefed about our theater tour last week and learned more about stage directions.
Next week everyone needs to have their talent performance ready to rehearse in class. The performance needs to be 1-5 minutes and is something that can be prepared outside of class.  Please allow them time to work on preparing for this since their talent show performances will be in three weeks.
