Practice, practice, practice

Next week is the talent show during the Christmas extravaganza at FILA!  Please make sure that everyone practices at home what it is that they are performing.  We want everyone to see how hard everyone has been working on their performances!

Local Play

I had an issue with sending the blog the first time so let us try this again.

Today in class we learned about pantomiming and watching some of Mr. Bean's Holiday.

Also, Stadium High School is presenting Shakespeare's Twelfth Night tonight, tomorrow night and Saturday night.  If you would like to view it with friends, we are going to see it on Saturday.

Play Watching Opportunity

Today in class we learned about banters and quibbles, discussed Romeo and Juliet, played a vocabulary game and listened to presentations from Merry and Isaac.  Isaac even brought in his own "finger food" to share with the class.

Stadium High School is presenting Shakespeare's Twelfth Night tonight, tomorrow night and Saturday night.  If you would like to view it with friends, we are going to see it on Saturday.  Feel free to drop off your Shakespearean scholars at my house at 2:30pm in order to watch As You Like It and Love Labour's Lost and then we will be going over to the school to see this play.  More details will be in email communication.

Everybody center stage!

Today we started with a fun impromptu drama game and then we discussed what everyone wants to perform for the talent show.  The show will be on December 10th during lunch.  Everyone should be practicing their act at home.
After that we practiced stage directions.  Then we played a couple of games involving using emotion and inflection (pictured below).
